Farm Profitability Programme

The Aurivo Farm Profitability Programme was set up in 2014 to work closer with our milk suppliers in improving family farm incomes.

The programme itself is being coordinated by Dr Roberta McDonald, and aims to increase output on farms, improve farm efficiencies and result in greater profitability. The main aims of this programme are to focus on all aspects of farm management, specifically on grassland, breeding and financial management.

The programme itself aims to connect with each milk supplier through

  • Focus Farms led by Frank Kelly
  • Grass Pods led by Dr Vincent Griffith
  • Discussion Group support led by Martina Moran
  • Workshops & seminars
  • Newsletters, media & internet

A key part of the programme is working with Teagasc in our Joint Farm Focus Initiative to focus on working with our 1,000 dairy farmers in the region.JFFI

Aurivo Co-op and Teagasc have joined forces to launch a new joint Farm Focus initiative aimed at enhancing output and profitability of milk production on farms in the Aurivo region. The initiative brings together the full resources of Teagasc and Aurivo in mounting an intensive and co-ordinated advisory programme on all aspects of efficient milk production for Aurivo’s milk suppliers.  Pat Clarke Dairy Specialist and the team of Teagasc dairy advisors are the key poeple invovled in ensuring the success of such a programme in the region.
