Nuffield Ireland’s mission is to “discover, inspire and support people to develop their capacity, character and confidence to promote positive change and world class leadership in agriculture, food and farming”.
The scholarships are awarded to individuals who have a passion for agriculture, are enthusiastic and show a strong desire to improve their knowledge and share their findings with others. The scholarship provides these people with the opportunity to travel internationally to explore agricultural issues and opportunities in a global context. They will prepare a report on their chosen topic.
Applications are now invited for the 2019 Irish Nuffield Scholarship programme. Scholarships consist of a bursary of €14,000 as a contribution to travel and accommodation costs for this international agricultural leadership development programme. This will involve at least 10 weeks travel, of which 6 weeks will be in a Global Agricultural Focus Programme. Applicants should be 25-45 years with at least 5 years’ experience in farming or business.
A number of scholarships may be awarded.
- Applicants are invited from all sectors of agriculture, food and rural related business.
