Exciting open day at new Homeland Store in Roscommon

  • 20% off all shop items at Homeland, Ballaghagderreen
  • More streamlined and improved experience for customers

On Saturday March 29th Homeland is inviting customers to an exciting open day at its new store in Ballaghagderreen, Co Roscommon. Customers who attend the open day will be entitled to a 20% discount off all shop items.

The store opening is another phase in the major brand architecture programme being implemented by Aurivo Co-operative which got underway last year whereby 39 Connacht Gold stores across 10 counties will be rebranding to a new name, Homeland. The programme is a new approach to branding and managing the diviersified businesses within the co-operative.

Chairman of Aurivo, Padraig Gibbons encouraged customers to experience the new store layout and product range available. “We are very excited to introduce our rebranded store to the people of Ballaghaderreen and all our customers who support the co-op in the region.  We would encourage customers to explore our Homeland stores which will, by the end of 2014, offer a greatly improved  customer experience, as well as our usual great value across all stores” he said.

The name change recently took place at three stores on a pilot basis– Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon, Sligo town and Gurteen, Co Sligo. The remaining 36 stores will undergo the name change during the coming months.

The new brand name, Homeland, represents the enlarged business with product ranges for both the home and the land.  While remaining true to its heritage, the stores will continue to provide the very best in products and value to its rural and urban customers under the new Homeland brand, which will offer  three distinct store categories; Homeland Agri, Homeland and Homeland Plus to appeal to all consumers.

Aurivo chief executive Aaron Forde said the name change marks an important step in building for the future of the stores business. “The name remains true to our valued heritage and represents our continued growth in the community,” said Mr Forde.
