Aurivo presents €40,000 to Special Olympics Ireland
Aurivo has presented €40,000 to Special Olympics Ireland. Over the past number of years, Aurivo has donated €170,000 to charity through the company’s Charity of the Year initiative.
In 2013, Special Olympics Ireland was Aurivo’s charity of choice and employees from across the business raised much-needed funds by organising a number of successful events including a 5k run in Killygordon, Co Donegal and a cycle and walk in Lough Key Forest Park, Co Roscommon. During the year, they also ran local fundraising events such as a charity car wash, a golf classic tournament and coffee mornings. In addition, using their expertise in dairy, Aurivo created a special recipe calendar to help raise money for the charity.
Previous charities that benefitted from Aurivo’s Charity of the Year initiative were Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Cancer Care West, Autism Ireland, Cystic Fibrosis and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Aaron Forde Aurivo CEO commented “The Charity of the year programme is an important element for Aurivo as we believe it is vital to give back to the communities that support our business. By getting our staff involved in fun, local events, we were able to raise vital funds for Special Olympics Ireland to help the great athletes and volunteers to continue to do what they love.”
This year, Aurivo is supporting local hospices including Donegal, Galway, Mayo/Roscommon and the North West Hospices.
